Will I need to wear a retainer when my treatment is complete?
Yes; that’s because orthodontic relapse can occur if you don’t maintain the results of your treatment. We can provide either a fixed retainer that’s bonded to the back of your teeth or a clear retainer that’s moulded to fit your teeth.

How do I know if I’m a candidate for clear braces?
If you’re considering clear aligners or traditional braces, we invite you to book a consultation with our practice. During your visit, we’ll be able to examine your mouth and let you know which treatment will bring you the best results-at the end of the day, we want you to achieve the smile of your dreams, and we’ll always point you in the right direction.
Do clear braces hurt?
Most of our patients report zero pain from their clear aligners. There may be a slight pressure during the first few days of each new aligner, but that should subside relatively quicly. If you experience pain associated with your aligner, we ask that you let us know so that we can take a look and make sure everything is ok.
How long do I need to wear my aligners each day?
It’s recommended that you wear your clear aligners for approximately 22 hours each day-this accounts for time that you’ll need to remove the aligners for eating. You can continue to wear your aligners while drinking liquids and sleeping. If you wear your aligners for less than 22 hours each day, it’s possible that your care plan may be extended to make sure your teeth reach their proper alignment.
How long will my treatment last?
Because each patient is unique, it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly how long a treatment plan might last. When we see you in the practice, we’ll be able to get a better idea of how long it might take to achieve your ideal teeth alignment. We’ll be able to show you a projected smile based on your current teeth alignment, so that you’ll know exactly how your smile will look when the care plan is done.
